Acoustic Fingerstyle Course

The Acoustic Fingerstyle Course is designed for players who would like to build a stronger foundation in acoustic playing by connecting technique, harmony and musical examples in a practical, easy to use way. The course focuses on developing better sound, control, rhythm, chord movement and a stylistic vocabulary by giving you clear, useful tools which can be applied easily and directly to songs, arrangements and everyday playing.

What you will learn

You will learn how to develop your acoustic tone, organize your right-hand technique, apply Travis picking and thump-based grooves, use walkdowns and walkups, understand basic harmonic movement, work with triads and inversions, expand open chord voicings with extensions, use 3rds and 6ths, and apply cadences and capo concepts in different musical situations. After finishing the course, the included practice routine gives you a structured way to review the material, verify your knowledge, and track your progress through focused tracks covering spread triads, Travis picking, thump practice, James Taylor-style demonstrations, turnarounds, open-string chord forms, melodic runs, cadences, and walkups.
